A sardine bait ball turns beneath the surface
Published · Updated
A sardine bait ball turns through blue water in an immense curved wall. Nearest fish show bright silver sides, dark backs and small forked tails, while those farther away merge into a fine shimmering texture. A tall irregular opening creates a darker space within the moving school.
Ripples at the surface gather pale cyan light above the fish. Angled sun reaches the outer edges in scattered metallic flashes, while deeper water gradually loses detail and contrast. A few fish turn beyond the main group, keeping its outline uneven and alive. The upward viewpoint makes the school feel large without adding equipment or other objects for scale.
