Dragon costume dog play brings a small challenge into the autumn garden. A boy holds one end of a rope toy while a brown-and-white boxer grips the other. His mother kneels beside him with a hand on his upper arm, sharing his amusement as the dog lowers into a playful stance.

Soft gold felt spines run along the boy's emerald cape, while his mother's dress carries large blue flowers. Paper bats, stitched pennants and hay bales turn the garden into a homemade seasonal playground. The broader view includes the dog's braced stance and the family's positions on the grass. Their connected attention gives the costume and decorations a lively purpose within the scene.
