Dried Flower Clouds in a Timber Barn
Published · Updated
Dried flower clouds fill the roof space of a weathered timber barn. Pale lunaria pods, wheat stalks, rusty hanging stems and dusty pink blossoms form uneven clusters beneath the old rafters. Practical pendant bulbs cast warm pools of light across the arrangements, while smaller tied bunches line the dark wooden wall. The textures range from papery seed heads to rough beams and woven baskets.
A long worktable holds cut stems, a spool of twine, metal containers and closed shears. A worn stool stands beside the table on the brick floor. Through the open barn doors, golden autumn trees and a low stone wall bring cool daylight into the room.
