Flamingos across a Blue Lagoon at Dusk
Published · Updated
Flamingos cross a blue lagoon at dusk in a loose diagonal that leads from the nearest bird toward the distant reeds. Pink flamingo feathers catch the last warm light, while their thin legs extend into still water reflections. One bird lowers its curved neck to feed, another holds its head above the water, and the others continue farther across the shallows.
A coral sunset cloud brings a narrow band of warmth to the large blue sky. Small ripples spread around the closest bill and feet, gently breaking the reflected shapes. The low reed islands leave most of the horizon open, emphasizing the lagoon’s broad surface. Differences in scale, posture and distance keep the five birds distinct within the quiet evening landscape.
