A Flower Carpet Fills the Market Square
Published · Updated
A flower carpet fills the market square with sweeping pink curls, floral rosettes and intricate gold borders. Red and cream blossoms trace the largest shapes, while dark green leaves create clean separations between colors. Individual flower heads remain visible along the near edge. Wooden crates of spare blooms sit on the surrounding cobbles, revealing the material behind the enormous design.
An elevated view takes in the carpet and the ornate market halls around it. Tall commercial windows, scrolling gables and red roofs catch the early sun above the shaded square. Foreground balcony flowers echo the installation below, connecting its monumental scale with a familiar window box. The empty paving border gives the pattern room to be seen as a complete composition.
