A flyball return brings a small brown-and-white terrier toward the nearest hurdle with a tennis ball held in its mouth. Its front paws gather beneath the chest while the body lifts above the grass. Upright ears and a bright gaze give the dog an alert expression. The low viewpoint lets the compact athlete become the largest figure in the scene.

White hurdles repeat along a straight lane toward a small box in the distance. At the side fence, a father leans on the rail while his son brings his hands together in a cheer. Their attention follows the returning dog. A paneled navy, olive and cream jacket contrasts with the boy’s red fleece, keeping both spectators clear against the park.

Tall golden trees rise above a simple brick pavilion. Fallen leaves scatter over the grass without interrupting the visible course. The photograph includes enough of the lane to explain the event while staying close to the dog’s effort. The family’s encouragement gives the sporting moment a warm social setting.
