Fox face paint gives a boy a new expression to inspect as he sits beside his father at an autumn fete. Orange cheeks, a white muzzle and fine black whiskers match his soft fleece costume. The pointed ears and fluffy white chest add texture, while a wooden-backed mirror rests securely in his hand.

His father crouches nearby with the brush lowered, sharing the amusement before the next activity begins. Paint pots, apples and one small pumpkin sit on the trestle along the brick wall. Orange paper decorations lead toward an open gate and a tree-lined residential street, preserving the lively neighborhood setting around their shared moment.
