Giant Paper Flowers Fill an Old Tunnel
Published · Updated
Giant paper flowers transform a stone tunnel into a walk-through garden of coral poppies, pale layered blooms and hanging white bells. The crepe-paper petals catch light along their ribs and crumpled edges, showing how the oversized forms were made. Tall stems and broad folded leaves fill the sides while leaving a clear route through the center.
A small craft trolley carries spare sheets and tools near the entrance, grounding the spectacular display in familiar materials. Beyond it, the tunnel curves toward daylight and glimpses of trees. Rough masonry, delicate paper and warm spotlights create three different textures, with the largest flower opening almost across the entire foreground.
