Giant pumpkin puppets on a Halloween lane
Published · Updated
Giant pumpkin puppets turn a narrow lane into a Halloween parade. Their smiling heads rise above long strips of plum and copper fabric, while the adult operators remain visible beneath them. Wooden rods reach from the operators' hands toward the oversized puppet hands, letting the performance keep its practical, handmade character.
Decorated shop windows continue the scene at street level with glowing pumpkins, small lights and dark bat shapes. The cobbles reflect warm window light against the blue evening sky. Both the tall figures and their human carriers have room in the composition, so the photograph shows how the spectacle moves through the lane instead of isolating a costume against an empty background.
