Giant Wooden Puppet Follows a Paper Airplane
Published · Updated
A giant wooden puppet appears to follow a tiny red paper airplane during a street theatre rehearsal. Its articulated wooden face has broad glass eyes, a hinged jaw and visible grain, making the expression feel both animated and unmistakably handmade. The operator below looks upward as he offers the small folded object.
Other operators manage ropes beside the visible support rig, showing the teamwork behind the illusion. A low camera gives the enormous head its full presence while retaining the humans and pavement that establish scale. Brick buildings keep the scene rooted in an ordinary public space. The contrast between a light paper plane and a heavy wooden figure supplies the surprise, with physical construction remaining part of the spectacle.
