Gift wrapping reveals the rocking chair
Published · Updated
Gift wrapping has become a shared joke around a very recognizable present. Two friends fit orange polka dot paper around a rocking chair, leaving its curved wooden runners visible below. One holds the paper at the seat while the other adjusts a purple satin bow on the tall back. Their smiles suggest that concealing the shape was never the main attraction.
The rainy workshop gives the bright paper a soft, cool background. Large windows, a worn floor and scattered offcuts make the preparation feel immediate. A cream blouse embroidered with tulips contrasts with a striped teal polo, while the wide ribbon catches the window light. Closed scissors rest on a nearby stool. Careful creases around the arms and seat show the effort behind the playful result, turning a practical piece of furniture into a generous celebration.
