Glass Iris Painting in a Quiet Workshop
Published · Updated
Glass iris painting fills the frame with a precise meeting of brush, pigment and curved glass. One hand steadies a small dark holder while the other draws fine blue lines around a black pupil. Pale veins and a bright window reflection remain visible on the smooth white surface. The tight view makes the fine brushwork and the maker's ordinary skin texture equally important.
Behind the working piece, a velvet display case holds six finished eyes in different muted colors. Ceramic pigment bowls, a jar of water and a stained cloth give the table a practical, well-used character. Soft light from the left separates the glossy glass from the matte worktop. This close study follows a delicate making process through a handful of tangible materials.
