Green walls form a rooftop maze
Published · Updated
A rooftop maze turns a factory roof into an angular garden of clipped green walls. Long rust-colored planters define the paths, with broad pale gaps forming turns and small open courts. Seen from above, the planted shapes create a strong rhythm while retaining visible leaves, gravel and shadows.
A curved blue bench and a round water basin occupy a resting place within the layout. Red leaves punctuate the pale paths, and a discreet railing follows the roof edge. Autumn trees and distant brick buildings place the garden within a wider neighborhood, with late sunlight adding long diagonal shadows to the clear geometry of the design.
