The Kitchen Where the Flowers Climb
Published · Updated
Red poppies, blue cornflowers and small yellow blooms climb the white cooking stove, then continue across the low ceiling beams. The repeated flowers make the room feel connected from its heavy iron fire doors to the small breakfast corner beside the windows. Deep teal cupboards provide a darker pause among the pale painted surfaces, with floral plates and jugs arranged on their shelves.
The view begins at an oak table with two cups and a small flower arrangement. Beyond it, the stove and dresser frame a fitted bench, red cushions and a compact wooden table. Autumn branches appear through the tall panes. Daylight catches the copper kettle and the uneven plaster while the stove recess and cupboard shelves stay shaded.
Worn timber, softened paint edges, terracotta tiles and plain linen give the decorative scheme an everyday setting.
