Leaf pile play sends autumn leaves up around a father and daughter as they jump side by side beneath a broad beech tree. Their boots clear the loose pile for a moment, while their separate outstretched arms help them balance. A mustard corduroy dress, plum leggings and navy jacket stand out against the copper canopy and scattered gold leaves.

The low view leaves plenty of space for the textured pile in the foreground. A garden rake waits against the timber fence, with a wheelbarrow farther to one side. Afternoon sunlight catches the floating leaves and the pair's shared laughter, giving the ordinary backyard game a lively seasonal setting.
