Moon Jellyfish Drifting through Cobalt Water
Published · Updated
Moon jellyfish drift through cobalt water at several depths. A large translucent bell occupies the upper foreground, revealing delicate radial lines and pale internal shapes. Fine tentacles trail below it, while smaller jellyfish move through the darker water around the edges. Tiny suspended particles help the scene retain the texture of an underwater photograph.
The composition leaves generous dark space between the animals, making their soft forms easy to follow without arranging them into a pattern. Nearer bells carry more detail, while distant shapes gradually dissolve into blue. Restrained light passes through their bodies and emphasizes their almost weightless movement, giving the vertical frame a quiet rhythm from the largest foreground jellyfish to the faintest forms below.
