A Pedal Plane Lifts Above the Meadow
Published · Updated
A pedal plane rises just above a morning meadow, its small wheels leaving a clear gap over the dewy grass. The pilot sits in an open frame beneath a translucent wing, with his feet forward on the pedals and a propeller turning behind him. Dark braces make a delicate network against the warm sky, while the wing stretches beyond the sides of the view.
Low sunlight catches the grass tips and the ribs beneath the pale fabric. Beyond the aircraft, hedges and hangars emerge through a shallow band of mist. The open ground below the cockpit gives this low flight a readable sense of height, keeping the small machine connected to the field rather than lost against empty sky.
