Pumpkin Bowling Starts on the Halloween Drive
Published · Updated
Pumpkin bowling turns the Halloween driveway into a small neighborhood carnival. A boy leans forward after releasing a round orange pumpkin, while his sister watches with her hands together. Six ghost cup targets wait in a neat pyramid farther down the clear path. Their simple black faces add a friendly expression to the game.
The boy's plum-and-gold checked costume has a soft cream ruff and loose sleeves. Orange sneakers keep the outfit practical for the driveway. Beside him, a dark velvet cape with silver stars falls over his sister's rust sweater and navy trousers. Both faces remain uncovered, so their smiles and attention are part of the action.
A broad striped canopy transforms the porch behind them. Plum scallops, small glowing bulbs and tall dried stalks frame the entrance. Pumpkins, wooden crates and pots of copper chrysanthemums continue down the steps, where an adult watches the game with a relaxed smile. Fallen leaves gather at the sides of the paving. The low viewpoint includes the target, rolling pumpkin and players in one continuous line, keeping the playful moment within its full autumn setting.
