A gigantic brown rabbit bounds across a moonlit vegetable plot, its front paws reaching forward and its long ears standing tall. Clods of soil hang in the air behind it. Fine whiskers and dense mottled fur catch the cool light, giving the extraordinary animal a convincing texture. Below its leap, broad cabbage leaves spread across dark soil, and large pumpkins rest on straw beside an elongated green marrow.

A girl with long red hair watches from beside a shed and a dark water barrel. Her patterned dressing gown and rubber boots are lit by a small lantern at her feet, whose warm glow spills onto the path. Beyond the plot stand glass greenhouses, bean poles, timber sheds and the dark outlines of village buildings. The full moon brightens the blue night sky and traces the edges of leaves and glass. Familiar allotment details make the rabbit’s enormous scale immediately clear, turning a quiet harvest garden into a playful moment of surprise.
