Reading Inside the White Book Towers
Published · Updated
White bookshelf towers rise inside a tall brick hall, each leaving room for a seat within its curved walls. Their openings turn the shelves into small places to enter. From the nearest reading pocket, a round table and rust-colored cushion frame the view toward two more towers and the straight iron stair beyond.
The pale shelves stand against dark roof trusses, weathered columns and an upper walkway. Individual books create quieter bands of cream, brown and charcoal across the curved surfaces. High windows bring daylight onto the rims and floor, while the deeper compartments stay shaded. The contrast gives the shop both openness and small sheltered corners.
This arrangement makes the bookcases part of the room layout instead of lining every outer wall. Doorways, seats and the route between towers remain easy to see.
