A Root Bridge above a Rainforest Stream

Published · Updated

A root bridge spans a rainforest stream, linking two banks through a dense mesh of living wood. Thick roots curve from the trees into the walkway, while thinner strands form uneven railings and hang beneath it. Mossy stone steps climb toward the nearer entrance. Wet ferns and broad leaves crowd the rocks beside the clear forest water.

The stream flows over small ledges in the middle distance before opening into a calm foreground pool. Submerged stones remain visible through the green water, and tiny highlights trace the damp bark. Pale mist softens the canopy beyond the bridge, separating its dark structure from the layers of foliage behind it. The absence of people lets the intertwined roots and quiet movement of water set the mood.
