Square dance circle fills the timber hall
Published · Updated
A square dance circle brings four friends together in a tall timber hall. Their joined hands form a loose ring as they take a small shared step, with smiles directed toward one another. The nearer dancer turns away from the camera, opening the view toward the three faces across the circle. Brown shoes and bent knees keep the movement close to the wooden floor.
A cobalt blue dress carries white lace across its bodice and around the gathered skirt. Beside it, a coral dress has pale trim and short ruffled sleeves. The two men wear different plaid shirts with dark jeans, giving the group a casual, coordinated feel without identical outfits. Fabric folds shift naturally with the step.
Pale blue, cream and peach fabric swags hang beneath the high roof. Heavy beams, diagonal braces and exposed boards make the hall's structure prominent above the dancers. Warm lamps and small hanging bulbs add points of light, while open doors bring daylight across the floor. The generous setting surrounds the friendship moment without overwhelming the simple connected action at its center.
