Steam rises over the mineral stream
Published · Updated
A mineral stream winds through pale terraces and rust-colored earth in an empty geothermal valley. Its gray-blue surface makes a clear path between the deposits, while several separate wisps of steam rise from the ground. Small green patches appear along the quieter margins, adding another texture to the open terrain.
An ochre slope climbs toward dark volcanic ridges in the distance. Cold side light catches the rough mineral crust and leaves deeper tones in the nearer rocks. With no buildings or people in view, the vertical landscape follows the water through the valley and into the broad sky, emphasizing its unusual natural colors and atmosphere.
