Storm light crosses the sand dunes
Published · Updated
Storm light cuts across one curved ridge in an otherwise shaded dune field. Pale gold sand separates the blue-gray hollow below from the darker slopes beyond. Fine ripples cover the foreground, showing the small repeated marks of wind against the broader sweep of the dunes.
Heavy clouds fill much of the sky, with a narrow opening near the horizon providing the only direct light. Distant hills fade into rain haze, extending the landscape without adding another strong focal point. There are no tracks or structures to interrupt the natural shapes. The vertical view moves from close sand texture toward the wide storm ceiling, creating a restrained and dramatic wallpaper.
