Strawberry picking together pauses for a closer look at a curious double berry. A young woman holds the bright red fruit up for her mother to examine, keeping a white enamel bowl tucked securely against her waist. Her striped knit and blue cotton dress stand beside a floral blouse and raspberry skirt, with different patterns and textures reflecting the relaxed family outing.

The plants form long green rows separated by golden straw, and a simple open shelter and pale growing tunnels sit farther across the field. Both women lean toward the unusual berry with amused expressions. Sunlight reveals the fruit's seeds and the soft creases in their clothing. This is a small shared discovery within the busy, practical setting of a summer harvest.
