The Green Glass Supper Room
Published · Updated
Rain-speckled glass stretches above this supper room, held within a framework of olive-green beams and curved brackets. Tall doors and arched fanlights surround the space, opening the view to copper autumn foliage and a blue evening sky. Warm lanterns make the room feel sheltered despite its transparent walls. Their reflections settle across the terracotta and charcoal floor, where the checkerboard pattern gives the dining area a lively sense of depth.
Round wooden tables are set with white plates, folded linen and clear glasses. Small brass lamps bring the light closer to the table, complementing the taller wall lanterns. Blue velvet chairs soften the green framework, while large citrus trees in carved terracotta pots flank the distant doors. The palette stays rich but calm: earthy floor tiles, deep timber, muted blue upholstery and warm metal. Fine water droplets and the worn sheen of the floor give the room a tactile atmosphere.
