Train storytime turns a rainy journey into a quiet chance to sit close. A mother and her son share a picture book on the teal bench seat of a small compartment. The child points toward a sailing boat in the illustration while leaning against his mother's arm, and both enjoy the same small detail on the page.

A warm reading lamp lights their faces against the cooler window and rain outside. The boy's blue striped top and his mother's embroidered cardigan add everyday clothing texture to the rainy train journey. Dark wood dividers, an unused upper berth and the doorway show how the compact carriage fits together. The shared picture book stays at the center, surrounded by enough of the compartment to make the setting clear.
