Visitors enter an inflated pavilion

Published · Updated

An inflated pavilion fills the twilight garden with rounded silver chambers and tall faceted peaks. Two visitors walk toward its warm entrance, turning their attention into the softly lit interior. Their complete figures give the structure a clear human scale without taking attention away from its unusual form. The woman's mustard coat and the man's dark jacket pick up a little of the orange light at the threshold.

Fabric seams divide the silver surface into large panels, and small wrinkles gather where the inflated curves meet the doorway. Straps run down toward low weighted anchors around the base, making the temporary structure's support visible. The soft material reflects both the cool evening sky and the warmer light within, keeping a fabric quality even where the surface appears bright.

A damp garden path curves through low planting toward the entrance. Reflections stretch along its rough surface, while small lamps light leaves and the edge of the lawn. Bare branches and an ordinary building remain behind the pavilion, giving the installation a settled outdoor context. The photograph captures the moment of arrival as the visitors cross from blue dusk into warmer light.
