A cardboard robot costume turns an ordinary courtyard into a place for Halloween play. Folded shoulder panels and a white slatted chest vent sit over the boy’s mustard sweatshirt. His face and hands remain uncovered as he bends toward a small terrier, amused by the dog’s careful inspection of the unfamiliar cardboard.

Corrugated edges and simple tabs keep the costume visibly handmade. Offcuts and tape rest on a low bench nearby, while a blue bicycle and terracotta pots fill the brick-walled space. Plain orange paper circles hang above the scene, adding a small festive detail without taking attention away from the child and dog.
