A copper rain chain carries the downpour
Published · Updated
A copper rain chain carries a downpour through a line of lily-shaped cups. Pointed petal rims, small side openings and oval connecting loops make the construction visible as water passes from one cup to the next. Rosy metal highlights meet darker patina along the wet surfaces.
The stream lands in a shallow black basin with small splashes and spreading ripples. Beyond it, terracotta paving, red maple leaves and a plain bench sit against a quiet plaster wall. Ferns and a warm window give the rainy courtyard depth, while the close chain provides a clear vertical route through the layered scene and its moving water.
