A screen print brings two friends together around a bright pool of turquoise ink. The blonde woman draws a wooden squeegee across the framed mesh with both hands. Beside her, her friend steadies the edge and watches with a smile. The simple fern leaves remain visible in the screen beneath the angled blade.

The woman with the squeegee wears a pink and burgundy geometric blouse under a dark teal apron. Her companion wears a cobalt shirt with the sleeves pushed back. Their clothes echo the ink and paper around them without hiding the small shared action. Metal hinges keep the broad wooden frame aligned over a clean white sheet on the paint-marked table.

Fresh fern prints hang from a cord across the tall black-framed windows. More examples lie flat in the foreground beside a small open pot of turquoise ink. An easel, hanging green plant and many small painted studies fill the room behind the pair. Natural light reaches both faces and the working surface. The scene captures an easy afternoon of making art together, with the room carrying visible traces of earlier experiments.
