A snail costume crosses the garden bridge
Published · Updated
A snail costume turns a walk through the garden into a playful discovery. A huge coiled paper shell rests against the girl’s back, outlined with orange and yellow strips and held by bright straps. Tall antennae rise above her braids, while a dotted dress and patterned tights complete the handmade outfit.
She pauses at the stone parapet beside a shallow stream, looking toward a much smaller snail on the wall. Golden leaves fill the branches above, and broad plants crowd the water below. The low viewpoint keeps the child within the richly layered garden, showing the paper’s creases against damp stone, foliage and soft autumn light.
