An agave garden forms a living rosette
Published · Updated
An agave garden forms a large living rosette when seen directly from above. Stiff blue-gray leaves radiate from the center, surrounded by curved bands of low green plants and magenta flowers. Smaller succulent rosettes and pale stone patches interrupt the planting, adding changes of scale within the broad oval bed.
The overhead view makes the garden’s arrangement clear while retaining leaf variations, soil gaps and the texture of rust-pink gravel around its edge. A plain dark bench and two fallen copper leaves sit beside the planting on pale paving. Strong side shadows show the agave’s height, giving the bold botanical pattern depth as well as color.
