A Cassette Tape Costume Catches the Walkway
Published · Updated
A cassette tape costume gives an early airport journey an unexpectedly playful scale. The smiling traveler wears a broad pastel cardboard costume with two cyan reel shapes, coral panels, yellow stripes and charcoal slots. Its visible corrugated edges and black shoulder straps reveal the simple construction. Blue and pink windbreaker sleeves emerge at either side above plain black trousers and white trainers.
One hand pulls a teal rolling suitcase while the other rests on the rail of the airport moving walkway. Glass panels, roof trusses and the long ribbed belt lead toward the bright distance. An unmarked aircraft waits outside the terminal windows. Morning light catches the traveler's face and the costume surface, keeping the oversized party outfit believable within the ordinary movement of a journey.
