Copper Wind Sculptures above the Sea
Published · Updated
Copper wind sculptures form a sequence of curling ribbons above a coastal terrace. Warm light runs across hammered surfaces, while blue-green patina gathers along edges and hollows. Dark arched frames, chains and visible mounting plates give the spirals a clear physical structure against the open sea.
The nearest piece fills much of the frame, and two smaller forms lead the eye along the coastal sculpture terrace. Rough stone plinths and damp paving contrast with the smoother curves of the spiral metal art. The photograph emphasizes changing widths, surface texture and the space between each ribbon, leaving the sea and clouded horizon visible through the open forms.
