A drained blue pool fills the lower half of this abandoned bathhouse. Rust runs below the old pipe openings, and small puddles settle among leaves on the tiled floor. Peeling paint and rough plaster surround a broad open window, where copper-colored branches and pale granite rise beyond the wall.

The mountain window view gives the enclosed room a sense of distance. A tiled shower partition and exposed old fittings remain to one side, while the pool steps lead down into the empty basin. Blue paint, orange stains and the warm outdoor foliage form distinct layers. A broken reflection in the shallow water brings a little of the bright opening back into the dark floor.
