An elastic jumping game brings a burst of movement to a quiet school garden. Two children hold opposite ends of a turquoise elastic loop around their lower legs while their friend hops between its parallel strands. Their attention follows the next foot placement, with arms spread or relaxed according to each part in the game.

A pink daisy dress, a pocketed blue pinafore and a small sailboat pattern give the children different looks without distracting from the simple loop. The wide view keeps their shoes, the band and the clear stretch of paving visible together. Leaf shadows break up the path, and the brick school wall gives the scene a familiar backdrop. Their glances and small smiles make the shared rhythm easy to feel.
