Giant carnivorous plants fill the Halloween roof garden as elaborate handmade props. Bulbous green heads open around dark burgundy centers lined with oversized ivory teeth. Thick stems support the heads at different angles, while broad fabric leaves show stitched veins and small construction seams.

Heavy terracotta tubs anchor the display among ordinary palms, vines and orange flowers. Warm low lamps mix with violet side light, revealing the soft surfaces and the steel beneath them. The broad rooftop view includes the parapet and distant city windows, keeping the exaggerated garden creatures within a real physical setting of pots, supports, planting and wet paving after dark.
