Giant Domino Installation Begins to Fall
Published · Updated
A giant domino installation stretches across a hangar floor in long branching lines. Thick unpainted timber blocks stand upright along most of the route, while the first section shows a chain reaction already underway. Flat pieces, tilted pieces and untouched ones make the progression easy to follow.
Two assistants crouch beside the edge with their hands clear of the falling sequence. A vintage aircraft and open hangar doors give the activity a setting much larger than a tabletop. The elevated viewpoint reveals both the branching layout and its individual blocks. The scene catches the brief transition between careful construction and planned collapse, when an elaborate shared effort becomes a moving event. Daylight from the airfield reaches into the shaded space, separating the distant rows from the people watching the first pieces fall.
