Hydrofoil glide earns a cheer from Dad
Published · Updated
A hydrofoil glide brings a cheer from the lakeside pontoon. Father and son exchange a smile as the younger man passes on a small teal board held just above the water. His father leans forward from the timber deck with one open hand raised, giving the movement a clear human destination.
A dark mast remains visible between the board and the lake surface. A narrow wake follows behind, while the rider keeps his knees bent and his bare feet separated on the deck. He holds a small controller in one hand. A plain red buoyancy vest contrasts with his pale aqua shirt and patterned blue shorts, and his uncovered hair catches the sun.
The pontoon's worn planks, thick mooring rope and upright post fill the near corner. Clear water reveals some of the lakebed below, becoming darker toward the wooded shore. Reeds, rounded rocks and a distant green ridge complete the sheltered setting. The broad scene preserves the simple shared achievement, with the father's gesture and his son's response remaining its warmest details.
