An October garden cinema gathers friends in deep green lounge chairs beneath warm string bulbs. Burgundy cushions and wool blankets soften the staggered seating, while small tables hold drinks, popcorn and glass lanterns. A large blank screen waits against the weathered brick garden wall.

Paper bats and small pumpkins hang from the vine-covered timber frame overhead. The guests turn toward one another in relaxed conversation, their faces lit by the nearby lamps. A projector sits to one side of the screen. Beyond the enclosed garden, an old house and silhouetted trees rise against the pink evening sky.
