Origami cranes drift above the empty waiting room
Published · Updated
Origami cranes follow a long diagonal above the empty waiting room. Cream and gold birds hang at different heights, each held by a fine line descending from the dark ceiling. Their pointed wings and narrow folded necks catch the sunlight. The larger birds nearest the camera show crisp creases, while the smaller distant forms carry the flock toward the far windows.
Rows of cognac leather chairs sit on either side of a broad tiled aisle. Dark wooden arms and bases give the seating a substantial rhythm beneath the light folded paper. Terracotta and deep green floor sections form straight geometric bands, with pale window reflections crossing them at an angle. Circular pendant lamps hang below the coffered timber ceiling.
Tall windows along the right wall send warm light through the room. The paper edges glow gently, and the polished floor repeats parts of the chairs and window frames. Visible hanging lines make the overhead arrangement feel carefully constructed, while the clear aisle leaves plenty of space beneath it. With no travelers present, the photograph gives the decorative flock and the room's rich materials a calm, generous setting.
