White bats shelter close together beneath a large folded leaf. Their soft pale bodies contrast with yellow-orange ears and small pointed noses, while dark eyes remain visible between the tufts of fur. Folded wing edges and tiny gripping feet connect the animals to the underside of their green shelter.

The leaf bends around its central rib, with fine parallel veins and a few small notches visible along the fold. Water beads gather near the outside edge, and neighboring foliage softens into the rainforest background. Seen from slightly below, the compact group occupies only a small part of the broad living leaf, keeping the animals’ scale clear within their leafy surroundings.
