The Pebble Daisies Along the Garden Path

Published · Updated

A winding garden path is covered with large white daisies made entirely from stone. Long ivory pebbles radiate around pink and brown centres, each petal carrying its own mottled surface. Between the flowers, narrow green-grey slate pieces sweep in curved currents, suggesting leaves and stems without losing the rough character of the material.

Smooth round stones border the path as it bends toward a timber gate. The nearest flower fills the foreground with visible joints, small differences in pebble size and the soft sheen left by rain. More daisies repeat along the route, becoming smaller between dense autumn beds. Ferns, copper grasses and pink dahlias lean toward the paving without hiding its pattern.

An old brick wall encloses the garden, and a broad tree spreads warm leaves above the gate. Fallen leaves collect near the edges of the stonework. The quiet setting lets the path's handmade construction become the main attraction, combining familiar flower shapes with the lasting textures of river pebbles and slate.
