A pizza dough toss lifts one thin circle above the family kitchen table. The father holds his hands open beneath it, smiling as his daughter follows the dough with an astonished expression. Her plum patterned dress and mustard apron stand beside the fine cream stripes of his navy cooking apron.

The flour-dusted table fills the foreground with a rolling pin, tomatoes, basil and a metal bowl. These family pizza making details keep the airborne moment connected to the task below. Light from the window catches a little flour in the air, while the uneven rim of the dough and both clear expressions make the scene feel lively.
