Puddle jumping lifts a mother and son into the air at the same moment. They turn toward each other with delighted smiles while their rubber boots hover above the shallow water. Their patterned raincoats add separate details to the scene: little pale daisies on ochre for her, and small sailboats across blue for him.

The market lane is full of ordinary things made bright by the passing shower. Buckets of yellow and white flowers line the shopfront, a green bicycle carries a basket beside the wall, and blue shutters sit beneath the warm awnings. Small splashes and broken reflections follow the jump, leaving the shared glance as the center of the action.
