The School Hall of Paper Orbits
Published · Updated
Large ochre, cream and pale blue arcs sweep across a school hall, carrying handmade planets above a clear walking route. Their exposed corrugated edges and timber feet reveal how the display stands, while layered paper gives each planet a slightly uneven surface. A small orange sun rests on a central support. Dark wall panels extend the scene with flat planetary shapes, and ordinary benches, windows and classroom doors keep the setting familiar.
The display gains its presence from scale and arrangement. The tallest arc nearly reaches the ceiling, while the crossing curves divide the room into smaller views. A blue and green Earth, a banded giant and a pale ringed planet make the theme immediately clear without labels. Afternoon sunlight falls in patches across the paper and worn parquet, leaving quieter shade at the edges. This is a school-decoration idea built around a few substantial structures instead of covering every surface. The open floor lets visitors follow the planets from several viewpoints, and the visible supports make the ambitious design feel approachable and handmade.
