Strawberry tower in the sunlit conservatory
Published · Updated
A strawberry tower brings red fruit and pale blossoms into a sunlit conservatory. Six tiers of terracotta pots rise around a dark central support, with a broad saucer holding the base. Leaves spread beyond the curved rims, and slender connected stems carry berries at different stages of ripeness beside the warm clay.
The tower stands slightly apart from the planted brick beds behind it. This space makes the repeated lobed containers easy to follow from floor to top. Some leaves turn toward the light while others cast fine shadows across the pot surfaces. Small white flowers punctuate the green growth, adding another scale beside the larger red fruit.
Green iron arches support the high glass roof and continue into tall window panels. Through them, a calm stretch of water and distant buildings place the room within a city landscape. A simple wooden bench occupies the right side, with dark metal legs meeting wet brick paving. Warm reflections follow the floor joints and give the full planting room a tactile, quietly occupied character despite its empty paths.
