The Jade Gallery Pool Hall

Published · Updated

Ivory columns rise beside a clear jade pool in this tall, softly lit hall. A curving upper gallery carries a band of small sea green tiles edged in charcoal, while broad ceiling ribs follow the length of the room. Beneath the gallery, arched recesses hold wooden benches and neatly folded white towels. Small amber lamps bring warmth to the green glaze and cast long broken reflections across the water.

At the far end, a vast curved window looks toward a pale winter sea and a rocky headland. Broad steps and slender bronze rails provide a gentle entrance to the pool, whose tiled floor remains visible beneath quiet ripples. The photograph keeps the water, columns and upper level together in a generous architectural view. Subtle changes in ceramic colour and the honed stone deck give the room a tangible softness despite its formal scale. Cool daylight from the window balances the lamps, creating an inviting interior with a restrained palette and a clear sense of space.
