The Petal Pavilion on the Reflecting Lake
Published · Updated
Tall pale pink petals surround a low glazed hall on the edge of a quiet lake. White structural ribs trace their pointed outlines, with the highest panels rising behind the building and the lower ones opening outward near the water. Some petals hold finely textured pink surfaces, while others remain open frames. Together they give the pavilion the shape of a flower at a scale large enough to walk inside. A narrow stone bridge connects the entrance to the shore.
The first sunlight appears over the distant trees, warming the pink panels and casting a golden band across the lake. Gentle ripples soften the reflection without obscuring the complete flower shape. Willow leaves hang across the upper corner of the view, while small water plants and stones mark the near bank. The glazed room remains quiet and empty, its restrained interior light adding depth behind the surrounding petals. Pale clouds and wooded hills complete the background, allowing the unusual architecture and its reflection to hold the center of the scene.
